The Chairs Of Agreement

My recurring dreams are about houses. Never my own houses. Ones I’ve coveted, one I want to own and to change, ones I have vision for, but aren’t mine to affect. This time the house belonged to my Aunt and Uncle. They were running it like a bnb, but they were leaving, and I was confused whether I was supposed to be hosted or do the hosting. Lots of confusion, muddy driveways, people coming and going, not knowing who was taking care of anyone or anything, not knowing my place, wishing things would or could be different, but unable to affect     any change. Everybody was going to a movie, but I didn’t want to see the movie. I wanted to be useful around the house, so I was trying to clean, and I was messing with snack boards, and trying to make food, but nothing was how I would do it. It was all just awkward. Dirty dish water and crumbling cheese and chaos. In my house dreams there is often a room like the master bedroom, it’s always hidden, and ALWAYS has something wrong ...

My Friends, and The Ocean

I dreamed I was in a familiar house, a mix of several houses I have shared with close friends and family. I hadn’t lived there in a while, but I felt a sense of investment in the house and the community, and I had lingering sense of responsibility for the house, and for its occupants.  The house was situated by the ocean, but everyone who lived in the house were convinced that the ocean wasn’t a “real” ocean, they said that it was just a complicated illusion, a glitchy computer generation. They cautioned that only people who had trained for years would be allowed to go out into the ocean, because only with the proper training could people be trusted not to get lost and caught up in the ocean. A young couple who I know well and trust deeply were in the process of being trained to be sent out into the ocean, but it was strictly forbidden for anyone else to go anywhere near it.  The people in the house were very preoccupied with sending out this couple, and with talking ab...

The Fragrance Of Obedience

I saw a soul receiving an invitation from God, the invitation was expected, anticipated, and welcome. As the soul accepted the invitation, this brilliance bloomed into existence, changing everything around it, the air itself was uplifted, awakened, gilded. The closest I can describe it was a fragrance, and I heard “This is the fragrance of obedience.”  Then I saw the soul receive another invitation, this time unexpected, and requiring the soul to pause and overcome confusion, in order to come into step with the Spirit and accept the invitation. And the fragrance that bloomed out of that circumstance was intensified, and greatly satisfying to God.  Last, I saw the soul receive an invitation that was SO subtle, and required the utmost attention to perceive, and then intense purpose to overcome opposition and even false accusation, but when the soul accepted this last invitation, the pleasing fragrance to the Lord rolled out like an aftershock, too intensely glorious for m...
